What is your True Wine Culture?

We’ve pondered this question at PROTOCOL wine studio for sometime now. It all comes from our experience working with tens of thousands of consumers who are eager to find a way to bring wine into their lives. But the common sticking point that almost every new wine drinker shares is that they find wine intimidating.

It’s an interesting perception, most of the wine drinking world experiences wine via its true nature as a social lubricant, one that does not require study for enjoyment. Yet as a newer culture when it comes to experiencing wine, Americans work their way in from the geeky edges of wine appreciation with intense study and examination.

These considerations are important because it’s the perception that wine needs to be complex and challenging that holds wine back from becoming the premiere beverage in the United Staes.

The True Wine Culture project is dedicated to examining this issue and promoting the joy of a wine oriented lifestyle among the millions of Americans who want to learn to appreciate wine but don’t know where to start.

We want wine lovers to help us address this issue. Here are some of the questions we’re asking thousands of wine professionals we work with:

What's one way you share wine culture?

What's a common wine culture misconception/myth that you would like to bust?

What are your top tips for newbies to create a wine lifestyle?

What are misconceptions of wine culture you can share with novices?

Wine culture can be intimidating, what’s something you can share to ease someone in?

Our goal is to usher a new generation of wine lovers into a culture that supports the beautiful journey that wine can offer us.

If you’d like to share your experience about True Wine Culture by answering one of the questions above, please type your response below or email us at [email protected].

Cheers!
